PREPARING YOUR ENQUIRY

What should we understand first?

  1. Items, sizes, quantities and languages
  2. Existing branding, copy and artwork
  3. Print finishes, delivery date and fulfilment needs

AGREEING THE SCOPE

What your quote should clarify.

  • Itemized design and production quotation
  • Proof review and artwork approval
  • Agreed production files or printed deliverables

Choose the materials and their purpose

List the items needed, such as business cards, letterheads, folders, brochures or presentation materials. Explain who will use them and what the recipient should understand or do. Specify languages, page counts and whether copywriting or translation is required.

Separate design from production

For printed items, agree quantities, dimensions, paper or material, finishes and delivery location. Digital artwork alone is different from supplied printed products. Identify who provides logos, images and text, and whether print-ready files or editable sources are part of the handover.

Check the proof before printing

Review contact details, names, spelling, language and layout at the approval stage. Ask how colour, material samples and reprints are handled. Your quotation should identify revision rounds, production responsibilities and any delivery dependencies so a requested event date can be assessed realistically.

Questions customers ask

Can I request design without printing?

Yes. State that you need design files only and specify the required formats.

Can several items use one brand identity?

Yes. Supply the approved identity or request branding as a separate part of the project.
