PREPARING YOUR ENQUIRY
AGREEING THE SCOPE
Explain what the business does, who it serves and how it should be perceived. Share existing materials, competitor references and any language requirements. Useful references explain the reason behind a preference, rather than asking for another company’s identity to be copied.
A logo project and a full identity system are different scopes. Agree whether the work includes logo variations, colour specifications, typography, brand guidance and application examples. Clarify concept options and revision rounds so the design process has clear approval stages.
Identify the final file formats, editable source files and any font or image licences. Ask how the identity will be applied to your website, stationery and signs. Brand design does not itself register a trademark; any naming or legal protection work must be separately defined.
Yes. Describe whether you need a refresh, consistent guidelines or new applications of an existing identity.
Only if the project scope includes them. Printed quantities, finishes and production are usually quoted separately.
